Sky TV has quietly rolled out a major change to broadband customers, increasing the minimum contract term for all new customers from 18- to 24 months. That means you’ll need to remain with Sky TV for at least two years before you can renegotiate a new deal or switch to another broadband provider. Rival suppliers like BT, EE, TalkTalk, Plusnet, Three, and Vodafone only offer broadband packages with a 24-month minimum contract term. Payments Taken Twice from Bank Accounts
Co-operative Bank customers have reacted angrily after a glitch meant payments were taken twice from some small business accounts. Customers took to social media to complain, with some asking whether the bank had been hacked and one claiming he was “£5k down”. The BBC Business news service is reporting that the Co-op Bank has said it was aware of a small number of business account holders affected and was working to correct the issue. “We apologise for any inconvenience caused and are supporting customers during this period.” According to its website, Co-op bank has about 3.1 million retail customers and 96,000 small business customers.
